I started having contractions at about 9:30 a.m. while I was out to breakfast with some friends. I called AJ as I was walking home around 10:00 a.m. and told him he should probably think about coming home soon to be on the safe side. Ten minutes later I called him again and told him to come home right away. :) We left for the hospital about 10:30 a.m., hit some construction traffic on the way (not fun when your contractions are 2-3 minutes apart!), and arrived in the hospital parking lot at 11:35 a.m. Baby A was born about 1 1/2 hours later!
It was a very different delivery experience, since I had an epidural with Little AJ and nothing with Baby A, but I was very thankful for how well everything went. Baby A weighed 9 lbs. 3 1/2 oz. and was 21 1/2 inches long. She looks a lot like her big sister when she was a baby! Here are a few pictures.

She's beautiful, Christie! I loved reading about how it all went. I'm glad she's healthy and sleeping well. And I'm so glad Ashley loves her sister!
No epidural?!?!?! HOW?! I'll be interested to hear the details someday. Annie is beautiful, and Ashley looks so big! We are insanely happy for you guys. Love and miss you a ton.
