What We've Been Up To

Sorry for the blog silence of late!  AJ, Little AJ and I had a wonderful summer, and we're enjoying a beautiful Adirondack fall.  Here's a few pictures from the last few months.

Little AJ as a beautiful ballerina (just for fun)... I think these were taken in June.

Little AJ at "Kids' Night" at our church in August.  The theme was "A Night in the Big Apple."  The pictures show Little AJ in front of a taxi and building a skyscraper with boxes.

Little AJ at "The Wild Center" in Tupper Lake, NY in September.  She loved posing with the stuffed deer, seeing real river otters swimming, chasing butterflies, playing on the natural wood playground, and watching a film about mergansers (ducks).

Little AJ and Mommy stopping to take a few pictures during a nature walk near our house on Columbus Day.  We collected red, orange and yellow leaves, wildflowers, apples, and sticks, and we enjoyed the sunshine by the river.

And lastly, AJ and I enjoyed a day away on Tuesday while Little AJ played with Grama, and we hiked Crane Mountain (one of my favorite hikes).  It was the perfect fall day to be outside, and the views were incredible!

This post is a little late, since we went to Adirondack Animal Land in mid-June... but the pictures were so cute and Little AJ had so much fun that I thought I'd put them up anyway.  Enjoy!

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day to my two sweethearts, AJ and Little AJ!

It's raining here today, so Little AJ and I opted to stay indoors... and bake.  After all, what is Valentine's Day without chocolate?  Little AJ told me, "Mommy, I like chocolate."  Yes, I noticed. :)

 Little AJ did a lot of stirring...

 ...and sprinkling.

Then we packed up our creations to deliver to our friends at Daddy's office.

Little AJ wasn't too sure about letting them go.

We also made a cake.  Not because we wanted to, but because Mommy ran out of paper cupcake liners, and we had to be creative!
